Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I realize this is a common complaint gastritis sufferers voice but does anybody know how to get it to go away?
Mine usually comes about 2 hours after eating & will be like a mixed hunger/gnawing ache and then eventually transform into hunger.
All of my other gastritis symptoms have seemed to gone away, the left side pain, the burning, reflux, bloating.
My only major gastritis related concern is this gnawing ache.
It has decreased signifcantly as I have healed but I can't seem to get it to go away.
Any suggestions/any body have this persist well into their healing?

I've just always assumed that I'd make my stomach worse--long-term-- by doing this to relieve it.
That's good to hear as I have noticed the exact same thing!
Although I can't be sure and I sure as hell don't have an explanation but I, too, have noticed the gnawing ache went down a lot when I tapered from 40mg nexium to 20mg nexium 2 weeks ago!
