Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Ive been having symptoms for a about a year but my symptoms only come around sometimes right after eating like nausea belching bloating sometimes dull pain which could last sometimes for an hour or 2 after eating usually the constant burping helps but after some hours the symptoms seem to subside after 3-4 hours also constipation and sometimes diarrhea i am 21 and also suffer from extreme anxiety, once i started having these symptoms i stopped working out and sports to just sitting down all the time playing video games i had a GI Dr Think it was H pylori but breathe test came out negative i do remember drinking excessively for before these symptoms started and would take ibuprofen for any migraines or any type of pain or even when i wanted to sleep so i think that might have caused my symptoms. I have a EGD scheduled tomorrow hopeing i can start getting rid of these symptoms the stress and depression gets me going and makes my stymptoms worst so im hopeing i can start getting rid of these horrible symptoms
Just curious how did your EGD go. I was way more active until my last flare up myself, I'm still dealing with the tiredness and a bit of nausea. Not constant but it's there. I love wine myself and had to put it on the shelf for a bit. I have not had the Hpylori test but I think I may ask my Dr. to test and rule it out. Anxiety and feeling on edge all the time when you feel something does not help. But I hope your procedure went well. Just curious of your results.
