Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
My intake of Gaviscon would be about 5 in a year.
This time round I have it again but with extra symptoms in the chest throat and back which bloody hurt and burn. Looking like inflammation of the esoph. This is not responding like for gastritis which really bugs me. Social life is poo - no point. Friends do not understand. But I did see it off before the reflux got me so I don't see why you cant.
There is a wealth of knowledge on here and I know of many who can help you out - and they will.
Stick on here.

Yes i get acid reflux and gastritis all at once and i also get pain in my back and chest :(
Joham, coffee has caffeine which is a no no but can you not have de-caf. Or is it actual coffee that is bad for reflux?
G.
In the past I read that de caf increases the acidity in the stomach more than regular coffee. It is still considered a major refluxer as well I think and both types relax the esophagus a lot.
Just not good at all if you want to get better.
The reality of getting better is a tough one but it can be done. it just takes a lot of work to get there.
There is a lot of hope. You just have to stick to most of the rules most of the time.
The discipline part is the hardest part, no doubt!
