Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Lets do some research on how these day's/awareness programmes get started?
Cheers,

Have you been told you will not get rid of your gastritis then? I keep hoping mine will heal as I can,t go on like this. Im not even getting any sleep some nights. This group could do a paper on gastritis which could go out to health authorities and be a permanent thing. It could give advice to people in their doctors via leaflets etc. What do you think? We just need to get our governments to work on it with us. Some information from this site would have to be written up and emailed proberly. An awareness week would only come if there were national groups I think to do it. If there was a national group then it can go for charity status. It would need funding so its not easy to set up,also admin workers and a commitee. Doctors may know how to go about it. The other thing is that someone could do a gastritis website for sufferers. There is websites but they are not all forum type ones where people can share like this one.
