Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
No tips please know that you are not alone in your suffering. I've been dealing with a bought of gastritis since September and still haven't gotten 100% relief even after being on a ppi for 2 months.
My doctor just upped my dosage today as I had been good for an entire month then just suddenly had another flare up.
It's certainly not fun to deal with. It really gets me down too and triggers my anxiety. It's exhausted trying to act like you feel good all the time when around others. I'm just ready to have some resolutions too.
I'm look into taking a food sensitivity test to see if there are things I should avoid. Doesn't seem to matter so far what I eat. It's just a constant knawing feeling in my upper stomach.
How are things going with acupuncture?
I'm looking into taking a food sensitivity test to see if certain foods might be triggering it. Helps make the elimination process quicker I guess.
Is your pain constant? Mine is. And I haven't found anything to soothe it. Tried carafate and gaviscon, and no significant difference.
