Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I am also on a bland diet that consist of only oats, bananas, pumpkin, carrots, toast, eggs, rice, chicken and fish. I lost 20lbs in 3 months. I was also taking slippery elm and DGL which was working but had a flare up in December after taking digestive enzymes. I was put on nexium for 3 months after I did the endoscopy in January. The nexium help me to sleep better at nights but it did not take away the off balance feeling. I also did a CT scan and got my ears checked out and everything was fine. Can gastritis really make you feel so off balance all the time?
