Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Various cameras have shown inflammation in my bowels but Drs always said its minor and shouldn't cause symptoms, but Im wondering if that is causing some of this pain and anything fibrous is just aggravating my bowels. Trouble is I cant take any meds for it as they all make my stomach so much worse.
The pain has reduced now but still quite bothersome and my stomach is very off, so nauseous I can't even stomach soy milk which I had been having quite frequently, can just about manage with boiled potatoes and pasta and a little bit of fish for some protein. :(
Everyone I've talked to hates it but I really like cold papaya.
If you have been on a restricted diet for awhile I would have your vitamin levels checked. I'm doing this in the next few weeks for my neurologist.
Hope you feel better.
