Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
i have kind of the same problem. I went to the gym a week ago, because my stomach felt much better. Unfortunately i had more pain after it. I love doing sports but i think i have to push back.
Do you feel any pain you're jogging lightly?
In early stages I had similar issues just taking a long walk. You have to heal up to the next stage, then you can resume exercise.
Also the stomach will be bouncing around - all aggravating the sensitive area.
The constipation/IBS can be ppi side effect, or just another symptom of an overall imbalanced digestive system. Taking a probiotic helped me.
I recommended it to the OP because his problem may also be in other areas of digestive system, and Chlorella creates beneficial environment in the colon/bowels etc. It is a "coater".
Sorry, can't address the original question since I don't do much more than walking. But.... I've had years of diaphragm problems... a tightness where I can't get a deep breath. That's all I know.
Herrlehamann, I sometimes have aggravation when I jog. It's frustrating (downright depressing, really) since I used to run quite a bit. Sometimes, jogging is not so bad. I definitely feel way better after some exercise. It helps with the anxiety and depression. I guess I just can't push it like I used to. That trapped gas had me in a lot of pain for a night.
Smile...maybe the Nexium is to blame, but I have been off of it for a couple weeks on doctor's orders for an H. Pylori breath test.
Thanks, again everyone. Get well. :)
