I had two of them done. The first was when they discovered I had gastritis, the second was after my gastritis had gotten significantly worse. Both procedure went off with no problems and no pain. My throat felt mildly dry post-procedure I do remember, but there was no other discomfort. It is surprising and I am still not sure how they manage it exactly, but please consider discuss your concerns with the nurses or doctor. Talking with them may also help to calm some of your fears.

Thank you Ravenfish, I have an appointment with my Gastro doc Wed the 28th but my symptoms are different than before. Mostly a pain in the middle of my stomach with bloating and nausea. It feels like a fist or a bowling ball in there. I have burning too at the top of my stomach and pain that can be on the left and the right. I think my nerves are adding to my problems but not sure which one is which. But the constant pain is the one that worries me that it won't go away. I will talk to my doctor about all this. Try to remember that no matter the outcome, every step in your healing process is another step. One day at a time, one step at a time. You are so much stronger than you can even begin to imagine and you will make it through this.
