Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Doterra oils

I was wondering if any of you have ever used doterra oils for your gastritis? I've been doing some research and it seems that digestzin has really helped so many people. I use the oils for other things and really think they are wonderful so I'm going to give it a go and see how I do. I put about 4 drops in vegan capsules twice a day.

No I haven't tried. Essential oils can be very irritating (externally & internally) so tread very cautiously.

I started using essential oils a couple years ago. But I recently stopped most supplements because they always seem to upset the apple cart. I just don't trust myself to mix them right or use the right ones. I used one called DigestAid which kind of helped some of the time. Other times... nothing. I'm just not convinced about them.

In the midst of a bad flare up I rub peppermint essential oil on my abdomen/stomach. While it may not be curing anything on the inside, it does provide some temporary relief. Please keep us posted about the effectiveness of the capsule!

Be really careful ingesting essential oils. They can be highly toxic if the wrong dose is taken.

Just because something is natural does not mean it is safe.

I don't know the laws or the general stance in the US regarding I ingestion of essential oils, but in the UK it is definitely not a common practice.

I am certain essential oils should only be taken internally under the guidance of a qualified practitioner.

Peppermint oil in capsule are very safe to ingest for any upset stomach or indgestion, It seems to bring such calm and settles the irritable digestive tract. Try some peppermit tea, or best pick some fresh peppermint herbs and infused it in hot water, drink as a fresh peppermit tea, or eat it fresh as a salads. Peppermint oil is use to eradicate tummy bugs and worms.
