Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

As for coffee this is the only one food I refused to give up.However I cut down on the amount as well as the strength.I went from 2 mugs a day to one cup which I have in the afternoons after lunch. It seems a bit healthier to drink it on a full stomach and not first thing in the morning like I used to.Now I realize how foolish of me it was.
I do not have a sweet tooth but a fresh baked jam donut is a cake I really love and I have one - 2 or 3 times a year.
Because I was feeling great I picked one each for me and hubby, they were warm and the smell ...........................oh bliss. But flippin heck, never again - agony or what, two days now. I can have a glass of red wine with absolutely no effect but a darn donut. Not going there again, I will swerve the bakery.
And soretum thank you for your sweet encouragement. You are exactly right.
JoHam thanks to you also for your great answers. Good advice too.
i do cheat with biscuits has tons of sugar but the thing has so much calories and taste good its hard not to do it. Fortunately it doesnt affect my Gastritis at all but the sugar content can give anyone diabetes. The diet is tiring for sure very hard not to cheat ! but worth not to do it, i can now eat chicken 3 times a day!
