Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I couldn't eat anything sticky like peanut butter at my worst, even honey would cause pain, but I can handle it when my flare is down.

I wonder at her suggesting peanut butter. Peanuts are the hardest of the legumes to digest. Maybe go to a health store and try almond or cashew butter first. Just a thought. I can eat peanuts now but took over three years to brave them.
THAT. I told my doctor about how I'm afraid to travel because I can't eat anything, and she said "travel away! I have food allergies and I travel" yea, what's the problem, right?
Case and point - I made 2 teas today, chamomile for me and peppermint for my husband. I absentmindedly started to drink one thinking "hell.. this chamomile is goood!" only to realize I'm into the peppermint. I'm now paying for it.
