Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
My main symptom is nausea also but mine comes and goes....I went all of December and January with out nausea but I have been feeling it a bit since Wednesday.
I don't take any acid blocker but my scoper doc and other docs I've met said that you can take PPI if you wish. So I'd take omeprazole 20 mg a day and eat bland (oats, basmati rice, chicken breast, cooked veggies, a bit of yogurt, banana, papaya and that's all)
