Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Hi I have gastritis and am having a bit of a flare-up, today I found out I also have a UTI and they gave me Cipro to clear it up. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to avoid stomach pain with this medication.

Have you tried bicarb of soda (baking soda)? It helped give me relief for a couple of hours and then I'd take more. Often a heat pack on the tummy can ease things as well.
Sadly I found now quick fix tablet. I only wish I had.
I appreciate the advice, I will try the baking soda. The heating pad is a good idea too.
