Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

I know everybodies different but has anyone that is close to being healed experimented with a beer here and there to see if it causes problems?

No No No, We're all scared of that stuff :)..... When I get there I will let you know, but Ketchup is on my list before Beer.

Good stuff Tummy2! I have been good today Had my Vanilla Activa Yogurt and Banana for breakfast. For lunch I had a PBJ and Campbells Chicken and RIce soup. I had an applesauce for mid monring snack and have only drank water. Alll good today on my stomach.

Too much, what do you put the ketchup on, a burger?
So many times I'm tempted in making a small Hamburg patty high quality meat with ketchup.

@blh Keep at it.. but remember, even though your stomach feels better, stick on your diet fora while longer... Because many people here went back to their old diet too soon and they end up going backwards... I am sure someone else can chime in on that.

@TooMuchPho -- I am really surprised that you would be so mean as to rub ketchup in my face... :)

ketchup? I eat it on the side with whatever goes at that moment...I can't even think of an example...honestly, I don't even eat it that much.

right now my forbidden vices are chili, garlic, onions and coffee.. and canned tuna! (tuna! wtf!?). And whole wheat.

So it's not horrible and restrictive anymore, but I wish I could ease in a bit. I'd trade the tuna for a coffee and garlic...
