Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

I tend to think my gastritis is autoimmune since I have other issues going on at the same time.Does any of you have the same problem and if yes what would be the best treatment option to keep the inflammation down?Thank you.

I'm not sure but I also have other autoimmune diseases or problems. I have MS, Graves, IBS, Osteoarthritis etc. My doc told me it might be another autoimmune thing, but he's not committed to it. Either way, it's treated the same way.

I would strongly advise you to see a gastro specialist and get a proper opinion. This is not a time to self-diagnose and find cures on the internet. Do that when you know what's going on, THEN research ways to address it. Right now you run a very high chance of just making yourself worse.

This is what Im doing.Im seeing a specialist about that tomorrow.The thing is that it takes up to 6 years to diagnose an autoimmune disease in this country and that sucks.On the other hand I know my body and I know whats normal whats not.I sometimes feel like you have to be your own doctor in this country.Seriously I have been seeking help since December and there are no answers.ANA came back negative but I see my symptoms daily so I will push until I know for sure
