Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I think that I am sure many people have gotten much better from all that I have read. I think most people will stop coming to these boards when they are improving or have improved and are not in a crazy stressful state over this the my. Basically the ppl who get better do not stick around
But I do believe that there is damage even though there is no inflammation visible to the eye, and it takes a long time to heal.
I think TooMuchPho posted somewhere that his GI said that most endoscopies come back with no visible signs of inflammation, however the patient is still in pain.
There are many people out there who can't eat just everything they want. And everyone has it's package to carry ... we have Gastritits, others have Headaches or Neurodarmitis.
As long as you can control your Gastritis and don't have that pain anymore everything is okay.
i really want to be able to eat good foods and workout again. every little bit of physical activity i do makes my stomach so sore. yesterday i was insulating the chicken coop for winter and i had to reach up and nail some stuff, man oh man my stomach did not like that.
i have spent very much time becoming physically fit and stuff and i really really don't want that all to be flushed down the toilet.
the weird part is that you all say you have pain. I never have much pain but i just feel so horribly sick all the time, and i have so much lightheadednss and dizziness. this makes me think that maybe i have something else. but my stomach always gets very sore and tender when i do anything on my feet. i sit here all day on the computer and just watching tv. its so boring!
