Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I did have GERD 6 months ago. Im on aniacid meds now.
But i feel a pressure right by and under the sternum. There used to be pain but i take the antacid Gaviscon which stopped the pain.
Sometimes if i press left of the sternum and right under the rib cage its sore. But not always. Yes i plan to see the doctor but many of them are clowns. i think people here are better to ask.
6 months ago i had ultrasound of the upper belly nothing found.
Pressure comes on a couple hours after i eat.
I had an EKG no heart issues. ive walked up stairs with this also.
No increase in pain.
Ive looked at anatomy on the net and still cant get where esophagus meets the stomach.
Anyone else have this ?

esophagus meets the stomach right in the center or so of your ribs I believe at the end.
