Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Almost Constant Pain... Similar Experience?

I'm a 61 yr old guy with gastritis dxed by endoscopy 10 days ago (biopsy not back yet), with almost constant dull/twisting or sharp pain in the right upper quadrant. On Dexilant 60 mg x 10 days. Foods can make it either better or worse. Poor appetite, nausea, fatigue. Gastroscopy 12/15 also showed H Pylori negative gastritis and Barrett's Esophagus. Does anyone else experience pain most or all of the time? Thanks for your time and help.

I have been in pain for 2 months. It got really bad after antibiotics. No meds or dietary change have helped. My life is totally upset. Any ideas from members?

Yes. At my worst I had pain all day long. It wasn't debilitating but rather a constant aching pain all day long that worsened when hungry or after eating. I likened it to hack ng a bad headache all day- you don't look sick but feel like crap. The right meds should make you feel better in 1-2 weeks. If you're not feeling better pressure your doc for a rx switch. Mine made me wait 4-6 weeks and it was a dumb move. You'll know if you're starting to get results or not. Feel better!

f you are having abdominal pain, flare ups, chest pain, that radiates to the back , and if it was possibly to due h pylori, try pine nut oil with resin. Siberian pine nut oil!! Pinenutoil.org. can hekp ulcers. I don't like to promise, but this is like a miracle help and possible cure!  Any questions email me o2009t@live.com.This is what helped me, you will possibly see a difference within a week if not days! It's expensive, but worth it!

Gerd and gastritis...constant pain here too. I just don't know what else to do. Eating small quantities of bland food because an empty stomach hurts too. Taking omeprazole, zantac and carafte.....

I had been told that if the pain is in the right it could be a Gaul bladder issue, probably stones. Some foods can make the Gaul bladder more active and will cause more pain. Don't worry we can do without the Gaul bladder perfectly OK... Don't eat junk.

Pain all day, everyday varying from annoyingly uncomfortable to downright hurting.
A constant pain in the back, mid chest & belly button when pain at its worst.
Nausea, bloating, vit & min deficiency, abnormal cells, tingling legs & aching joints.
I have been suffering for years as my H/Pylori wasn't picked up until January this year. Had the test at the start but was negative, had the eradication therapy with negative test.
Am still in pain as I think the bacteria is still there even though I have been treated.
Am back to Gastroenterologist doctor next week, so hoping that maybe this visit may be the one that will end this 4 year battle.
