Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Personally I will be very careful, when i feel that i am healed, i will still take a lot of precaution and be very wary. I won't go back to regular foods, and exercise and what not for at least several months after i feel 100%
this thing is awful and I don't ever want to lose 3 years of my life like this again!
The exercise comment surprised me. It s like my body does not like the exercise.
Curious, did anything help the lightheaded feeling?
Pain was never a factor for me. I was DX'd with mild gastritis via endoscopy in Feb this year. Only symptoms were nausea, loss of appetite and a general "nervous" feeling in the stomach.
The nausea and appetite loss are gone, but i still feel tight and nervous in the stomach particularly for the first hour or so after food or drink. I also get lightheaded occasionally after a large meal but this is rare. Eating and exercise both bring on this feeling. But...the good news is i am improving but it is very very slow - now 9 months on...
