Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I'm very glad to hear this though. I've read your posts and how much gastritis has affected you
You should keep doing w/e you were doing recently for a while , maybe you found your trigger. Make a journal it helps.
I think you're right about chronic conditions & remissions - with gastritis & ulcers I always imagine it is like a battle - sometimes our stomach lining is winning & other times the stomach acid is winning.
I definitely have prolonged periods (months) of remission, then relapses (flare ups).
I also took pepzin GI in between the meal only dont know if that helps.
6 meals a day-5 meals a day hurt me a lot.
I should keep sticking to what ive been doing before hopefully it also works this time: 3 meals a day only but eaten super slowly and well chewed.
Not Pepsin, and not Pepcid.
@GuskoBurido: Consider taking Gastromend HP. It includes a small dose of PepZin GI, but is generally a much stronger cure. I take both, depending on how I feel, but with Gastromend is where I reach stability these days.
Could this be the worst gastritis joke ever?
I am doing better than ever now and in about 3 weeks I have not had a day where i was confined to the couch without any desire to get up.
