Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
So next week it will be at 19 months since I first got sick with gastritis. I am feeling better than at any time during those 19 months and am really hopeful at this point. I have been reluctant to post because I don't want to jinx it haha.
I am still getting sick sometimes, and feel dizzy and nauseous sometimes. Usually at least once a day I will feel unwell and then i just sit down (half laying) on the couch and watch netflix, and I usually feel dizzy at least once a day for about 30 mins to an hour.
BUT I have been on my feet a lot, and have even been lifting weights (lightly) for a few weeks now at least 3 times a week. Yesterday I went to town and was on my feet for almost 4 hours and by the time I came home I was fine. Still haven't started eating meat or anything else though but am feeling hopeful!
Been healthy enough that I've been working on my art again and have started the artwork on a new children's book and have been playing a lot of video games, so that is great progress!
So for those of you still suffering a lot, hang in there, don't stray the path, it does get better!

It's been well over a year for me now in total, too, and I hope that 2015 will see an end to this.
