Gastric Sleeve Community Group
I haven't seen a group for Gastric Sleeve. Its newer, but I know some members have had it, and I could definitely use the support - we all can!

Hi, I am scheduled for gastric sleeve surgery on 11/28/16. Right now I'm on the 2nd day of my liquid diet, so far so good. I have to stay focused. Sometimes I don't know if I should of picked the gastric bypass. I don't have a lot of support and it would be helpful to get some feedback. Your mind goes through so many thoughts and sometimes its good to talk about it to someone who has been through it or going through it. I know in the long run it will pay off. I looking for new beginnings.

hello, I'm new to this. I recently had my gastric sleeve surgery 12/14/2016 and first day home and trying to set up my menu/water/excersize plan now. i'm hoping I did it correctly, because didn't really have much of a plan after they let me out, except drinking water, broth, jello. and didn't sip water throughout the day. so, just re thinking and getting a menu plan together. I'm going to be on liquids for the next 3 weeks they said. I saw you had your surgery in Nov and was wondering if you can give me any tips, that helped you. thanks

Hi, after my 2nd week, went back to the doctor & lost 20lbs. I thought it would be easier for the food craving but I still find it to be a fight. It's really a mind over matter thing because I don't be hungry. Alot goes through my mind. I hear so many stories of people gaining their weight back which is what scares me. Sometimes I think I should of gotten gastric-bypass-surgery instead because of being a diabetic. My 1st meal will be 12/26. Still on puree foods. Good luck on your new beginnings.

I just had the GS 12/20/16. I'm on full liquids. I'm so scared of gaining weight back. I've read year three is when it happens.

I'm now on my 5th week. I read a lot about that to. I'm also nervous about gaining weight back. I still have cravings. I'm looking for a support group in my area hoping it will help. I know they say no more than 4 ounces of food but it seems like I can eat at least 5 or 6 even though I try to stick to 4oz. I fight with myself everyday. It is hard.
