Gastric Cancer Support Group
Stomach cancer (also called gastric cancer) can develop in any part of the stomach and may spread throughout the stomach and to other organs, particularly the esophagus, small intestine. It also may extend through the stomach wall and spread to nearby lymph nodes and to organs such as the liver, pancreas, and colon.
Right now I have a very bad eye bleed which is a side effect. Also get leg cramps
but do better with those when I stay hydrated.
My recurrence rate is 97%. My oncologist says I will have to be on it 5 years or more. That is the
protocol right now. I have CT scans every 3 months to be sure no new tumors are growing anywhere.
These CT scans saved my life because they detected a problem with my colon, 12" removed
and I feel great.
