For me personally I wouldn't change that I had lap band surgery. I am so happy with my decision and thriled with my new life!!
BIG HUGS!!
HUGS TO YOU!!!!
But we all know, this is NOT the easy way out.... We jumped thru every hoop just to get approved for the surgery.... And now we have to spend the rest of our lives protecting our investment....
Thank you for sharing your story.... I am sure I will think of you next time someone decides to take me on, and maybe I will be a little less vocal with my response.....
You are so right in the fact that people have no idea what road we've been down and its such a reminder to never judge anyone.
Just remember your positives...that person obviously doesn't have any to come and say something so rude.
Happy Friday to you too!
Fabulous response to a hater.
People who are clueless usually don't want the facts anyway, so it's good that you saved yourself further stress. She's probably jealous. :)
Good on ya, that you took the high road & just shrugged it off! You definitely have the right mind set about it all! Also, your story is inspiring! I'm just rounding 3 mos out & questioning my weight loss til this point, sounds like we were about the same size, and I'm dying to get down to a 14! (Heck, even a 16! haven't been that small since high school!)
Just keep looking forward to enjoying the heck out of your grandbaby in a few months! Those nay-sayers will eventually just stop commenting, I suspect! Congrats on all you've accomplished!
Last summer when I started this process, for insurance I had to join weight watchers and be followed by a doctor. When I signed in they wanted to sign me up for a long plan. I told them no, because I was going to have the gastric bypass surgery and was just visiting until that time, but that I was committed to the program for the time I would be with them. Instantly the entire room became quiet. My husband was standing next to me and he couldn't believe how every single person stopped talking and turned and stared at us. Believe me, it wasn't a welcoming moment. However, I must say after doing both the weight watcher point system and bypass....this is NOT the easy way out!
The sad thing is that people that narrow minded most likely would never understand your reasons even if you took up valuable time to explain it to them!
Good for you! Don't let other peoples negativity have any affect on your day!
