Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

I too wonder about goal weights and who's setting them. I've seen people wanting to be the same weight they were in high school, but with the extra skin left over, it just ain't gonna happen. I have a friend that was told her goal weight was 125 lbs, by her doctor, yet she was so emaciated and malnourished when she reached that weight that her hair started to fall out again. She put 25 lbs back on and is now healthy, athletic and training for a 10K run.
If we follow the plan, keep up the protein, vitamins, water and exercise, I believe we can reach and maintain our healthiest weight. I hope you're able to find out if that's where you are now, or 20 lbs lighter, or somewhere in between.
