This year's flu has been the worst ever
Luckily I didn't get it and asked for the flu shot the second I got to the hospital for surgery. That was exactly when we were at the peak of it where I live
Thankfully you have time to recover before your WLS
Keep hydrated, expect a 5-6 day recovery :(

If you have had thd flu less than three days call the dr they can give you tamiflu. Sorry your so sick. The flu is terrible this year. So many people sick. Try and get your fluids in. Take Tylenol every 3-4 hours. Hang in there sweetie.

sending up prayers for you. It has hit two houses around me and I live on a family corner where there is me and two other cousins house around me and they all had it. I pray we dont get it. you take care and drink plenty of fluids.

Praying for you...keep hydrated! I've had a house full of people with the flu and bronchitis, maybe it is all the vitamins we take after surgery, but so far...knock on wood...I am healthy.

Hi everyone just in from the dr's again and its the flu and upper respiratory infection - they did prescribe the Tamiflu for me along with some cough sryup and pain medication to help with the body aches. I got really scared last night when my fever spiked so high but hubby was quick to throw me in the shower and douse my body with alcohol. I must have sweated a bucket of water - truly thought it would never stop. I am going to follow her instructions to the letter and hopefully start to feel better in a couple of days.

the flu sucks...i think im the only one at my work that hasnt gotten it..of course i think im the only one that had a flu shot too lol

Hi Sweden right about now i wish i had taken that shot to, but i promise you and the Lord above this will be my last time not taking it. I don't ever want to experience this again.

One of my support group members from the hospital is having her surgery tomorrow and i was suppose to be there for her - I had to call and tell her i couldn't be, I feel so bad for that. She understood completely, but you know how it is when you make a promise to someone.

yep..always comes back to get ya sometimes...all of us..ESPECIALLY NEWBIES should check with your surgeons about getting the shot..even now...you are weak after surgery and need all the strenght you can muster!!

and i will say this one more time lol
you CANNOT GET THE FLU FROM TAKING A FLU SHOT!!!
