Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I do however, find that I can drink a glass of water pretty quick, just smaller sips quickly. LOL
I don't chug because I am too afraid of throwing it back up, but I take a good mouthful, if it seems like it's too much, I swallow half, let the other sit for a minute then finish.
Early on, I had to keep my water in front of my face in the car, at my desk, in a meeting, at my volunteer work. It was too easy to get a little dry and too hard to catch up.
I still grab a bottle before leaving work or home. Probably will for the rest of my life. Picked up a neat little 8 oz stainless steel one that fits right in my purse without leaking, and I just fill it throughout the day.
New habits.....
