Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

Hang in there!
I know we all lose differently, and I am in my 60s, so I can't expect to lose the same way that a young person loses. Maybe it's time to invest in some Spanx, LOL!
Keep up on your protein so your metabolism stays engaged, keep up on your water to help your body move everything out, move as much as you can, and it will happen.
I'm 57 now, was 52 when I had my surgery, and sharing the journey with younger women left me frustrated too. But letting that go and celebrating what's happening with me has become a much happier place to be. You can do this.
Protein melts fat and water flushes it. Keep these up and the weight will shed. The more you stress about your weight or size, the longer it will take because stress slows the process. Relax and enjoy the journey! FYI, I turn 60 this month and had my surgery in 2010.
