17 Days since my surgery (8 inch incision no lap), I feel GREAT!!!, I have not been dehydrated, been a bit hungry from time to time but, that was expected I guess. I have gotten used to eating less and I have started walking more. No pain, sleeping better and the staples come out Monday. But, the best thing is I have lost a total of 32 pounds in 17 days, now that's progress!!!!!

I am looking forward to eating something new though but, that won't start until Monday (I hope) it may be puree'd food but, it's not SOUP!!! Don't get me work, I love soup but everyday for two and a half weeks, I need a change....lol

Getting my protein drinks in, sometimes I miss a day but I try to stay on top of it. All I can say is, I feel GOOD!!!!

That's amazing!! Glad to hear how great you are doing! How is the leaking you mentioned before? Has that gotten better?

monikakeven, the leaking has slowed down a lot, it's just about all gone now (about time). It tends to build up a little then when I get up and move around it leaks some, not like before. Hopefully it will be done leaking by Monday, if not, well, we will see what the surgeon wants to do.

Wow, so glad you are doing much better. I've been wondering why my surgeon left this JP drain in for a week. It has really collected a lot of fluid. And it has turned all the colors that they said. Red, pink, and now yellow. He put it in the biggest incision, which also makes sense now! And with the size of your incision it would make sense that you are leaking a lot.

Anyway I am glad you are doing better and the weight loss is incredible. Good for you!
