I cannot seem to stomach the multivitamins at all, I was also like that with the calcium vitamins I was taking, I am now taking tums as my calcium vitamins, but these multivitamins give me an upset stomach so bad, my question is does anyone have an alternative way of getting these multivitamins down without these problems? I know I need to take these vitamins, but I am really leaning toward giving them up , any advice would help

I was told that I could take 2 woman day multivitiams instead of the chewable ones. I don't know if you could handle them better if you didn't have to chew them or not. I don't think it's a good idea to stop taking them tho, we need our vitiamins.

I don't know what multi vitamins you are taking but I take flinstones with iron twice a day

I was taking multivitamins from GNC, and they just made me gag (yuck), so I started taking the Bariatric Advantage vitamins..they are even nastier, for some reason they do not want us to take Flintstone vitamins nor do they want us to swallow the pill form until 6 months after surgery ....what do I do ??

I went online and got Purtian's Pride Adult chewable vitamins. They crumble in your mouth really fast, and while the taste is like a vitamin, you get used to it. I have to chew 3 a day. I kind of look forward to them cause it feels like I have something of substance in my mouth. Now as far as using Tums for calcium, they are the wrong kind of calcium. We need calcium citrate, and I just bought a big bottle of Oscal 600 mg. Have you tried those? Don't buy any vitamins or calcium pills yet, we can't do those.

Centrum also has a chewable vitamin that's not bad it's kinda sweet tasting.. but its doable. They also have a liquid that you can put in other things. I guess not everything is going to be tasty.. hehe. Good Luck....

It sounds like your problem is not so much the taste as it is an upset stomach, right? I think perhaps you should call your nutritionist and ask her about your vitamin options - chewable, liquid, regular, etc. There are so many out there - not all great-tasting, but you need to find something that you can tolerate for sure. I would definitely NOT stop taking them, though - you HAVE to have those vitamins. The repercussions of not taking them will be way worse than the problems you are experiencing now. Walmart and Target carry Nature made brand vitamins. They have a prenatal multi. It is less then half the size of the regular multi's and has everything you'll need! I take 2 of these a day, one in the morning, and one at night.

they also give you a choice of w/ iron or w/o iron.

DO NOT STOP TAKING YOUR SUPPLEMENTS. Some consequences of vitamin deficiencies cannot be undone!!!!!

I believe Caltrate has the "petites", they are a smaller calcium pill that is CALCIUM CITRATE The type of calcium we can absorb! We don't get anything from calcium carbonate (the type of calcium in Tums)

Please get back on calcium citrate ASAP!

what flavor of bariatric vitamin did you try? The only one I found good was the berry and that is what I use. Also bariatric advantage has chewable calcium citrate and the cinnamon is great.
