Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I did do b-12 injections once per month. They were convenient but my local hickville Wal-Mart never had it on hand so my Bariatric Team switched me to an over the counter. Under the tongue tablet. Much cheaper too. Just keep the bottle next to my pill box.
To be honest, I expected a certain amount of loss - things I bought but ended up not liking/wanting/needing.
Lcat, is it calcium that you don't need? I bet you get all you need from diet. That's where I eventually want to be, too.
On the subject of vitamins, gosh it took me a while and much experimenting to find ones that didn't gross me out, make me nauseous, etc. I finally found the right combination and life got a LOT easier after that! :-)
Interesting about the Vitamin K reacting with Coumadin. I wonder if it affects the newer anticoagulants like Xarelto? I'll have to ask my doctor next visit.
