Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I am sure it burns some calories......
This this is a stationary machine that vibrates while you stand on it. No more, no less. (it does help if you move about)
Very obese persons to handicapped can take advantage of this if it is right
Apparently it has lots of benefits.
As stated it was invented by the russian space program.... go fiqure
I have to go to a new place in town where they offer it called T-Zone Vibration (Sudbury Ontario)
If we have it many other cities must have this as well (Sudbury is not that large)
I like the idea of using it in conjunction with other excercise as a way to wake up the body and get things moving.
If you can't make it to the gym for this machine then you are truley unmotivated. You can do this without breaking a sweat. They are saying that 10 minutes = a one hour work-out.
I think forward thinking gyms may offer this machine soon but once again it ain't cheap.
Laura
She was extremely selfconcious about anything extra jiggling.
I told her that all kinds off people froma all walk of life in all shapes and sizes were doing this and she didn't look any different from the rest of us.
The jury is out on this one but I tell you what I do see.
I see people who are handicapped, or otherwise unable to excersise getting a great benefit from this.
I see people from Community Living, a woman who needed oxygen and a man who had terribly botched knee surgery who told me he personally had lost 125 pounds (with diet) with this system, all enthused by this program.
One thing I can also say from my own experience. This does help circulation. You literally feel a burn when you are done.
I don't discount it.
After all, how many people thought surgery would assist in weight loss not so long ago?
Just sayin... It doesn't hurt to look into new stuff.
Interesting. I might look at investing in one of the machines as I live too far from where they are, and I hear they arnt that expensive to buy
