I could not eat any veggies for a couple months. I can't eat most frozen veggies, I am 4 and half months out and I can eat salads made with spinach, fresh tomatoes, carrots have to be copped , and I can eat grilled squash. that is about it

i had my surgery on 3/16 and i still have not been able to try them yet . they are a do not on my program list until told by my nut i hope she tells me i can on monday when i go see here i miss my salads. i dont think being under 300 pounds has anything to do with going to the bathroom. it has to do with fiber and your body. good luck

Don't push it! Some people just take longer to move up the food stages. You've got the rest of your life to eat your veggies! Stick with the things that agree with you and try well cooked veggies in a couple weeks. Try soft things like cucumber (peel them for a while). Wait another couple months to try hard raw veggies.

Don't worry... veggies can come from vitimons where protien can't come from pills.

I was told to avoid veggies until about three months PO. They can be hard to digest, and the chewing can really wear you out. I wouldn't worry about it at this point.

I am one month out and was just given the ok to try them. We are directed to only be eating 1 - 1 1/2 ounces of food per meal with at least 1 ounce being protein and the other 1/2 ounce can be fruits, vegetables, or beans. 1/2 an ounce (medicine cup is 1 ounce) is hardly anything at all. LOL I was able to do salad, tomatoes, onions, and beans so far with no problems. I think it depends on the person. Try one food at a time and see how it goes. Good luck!

I am 8 weeks post op and veggies are still on my NUTS No list. By my instruction paperwork looks like I may be able to try some cooked veggies after my 12 week post op appointment and uncooked veggies I am not sure when. But, my plan does allow me to drink v-8 vegetable juice low sodium a whole can is only 30 calories, I never liked it before but lately I love it! Good luck!
