I tried some samples before my surgery and the only one I liked was Jay Robb. I still really like the Jay Robb vanilla protein powder. I recently ordered a bunch of samples from Vitalady.com. I had several duds but tonight I had one that I would drink again. It was called Syntha 6 chocolate peanut butter flavor. If you are still looking for a protein you might give it a try.

Jay Rob Rocks, but I do love chocolate with peanut butter I may have to try that one. What are the calories & grams of protein per scoop and where did you get it?

I got some PB2--powdered peanuts without the fat. I add it to shakes when I want the PB flavor. Just a suggestion....I got this tip from eggface...... :)

Happy mom I'll have to look at the calories tomorrow to make sure. But I think it is somewhere around 200 calories and around 23 grams of protein. A little high in calories I thought but I just really need some variety right now.

I got the sample at Vitalady.com. I got a whole bunch of samples from there right before my surgery and I am just starting to try them out.

I got the Jay Robb and don't like it at all. The only chocolatey one's I can seem to tolerate are EAS and Syntrax Chocolate Truffle.

I really like the PB2 chocolate and enjoy adding to a variety of things.

I really liked the Syntha 6 before I had surgery but since surgery not so much, I am having a hard time with protein shakes anyhow I found so many pre op that I liked and now post op they all make me nauseated.

Karen, I did try Jay Robb chocolate before my surgery and didn't care for it. But I did like the Vanilla before and after surgery.

ARentas I think protein shakes are such an individual thing. And I think sometimes it is hard to find one that you like. Sorry you are having trouble finding the right protein for you.

I bought a bunch of samples and I plan to do a YouTube video reviewing them when I have tried a bunch of them. I'm just hoping that maybe I can help someone out with this difficult part of our journey.

I haven't had WLS yet but was told to buy protein shakes with whey protein Isolate only. I noticed online some of the shake ingrediants aren't listed. I am looking to buy samples preop to try and have also post op before I buy a big container of something I can't stand to use.

I love hearing about good protein shakes ... I am nine months out but I still love a good protein shake and I love the simplicity of knowing i am doing something good for myself

I personally couldn't live on protein shakes for a long time because I am ready to chew some thing. I am 10 days out today and still on liquids. I am ready for variety and ready to chew something. I know it will come in time but I am starting to get impatient.

I know a girl who had pouch problems and had to live on shakes a while she is very healhty
