Live in West Toronto. Had my surgery at York Finch Hospital (at Finch Ave. W and Highway 400) in April 2009. Went from 320 in summer of 2009 to 175 present. Weight loss seems to settled down for now. Not looking to loose more.

Know all about the bat wings and flabby belly. Had major problem with lack of iron in the fall. Took a while to find the foods rich in iron and protein but stuck to it. Wasn't easy though. Blood work is looking good.

Never, ever was an exercise person. Bought a bike last summer and rode it a few times. Surgeon and dietitian at Humber emphasized the importance of SOME sort of exercise routine.

Looked at many of the clubs in west end Toronto and then, through word of mouth, heard about Avalon Woods Health Club for Mature Adults 40+ on Islington, just north of the Queensway.

I'm 57.

Like it the moment I visited. Not a jock in site. Men and women my age. Clean with friendly staff. Now a member and set my goal of going minimum 3 times a week.
