Crystal lite flavor- rasperry ice ,,,,,,,,,and pink lemonade......
i mix the two....the tart of the lemonade brings down the sweetness abit and is just downright yummy. - the colder the better and usually i dont' drink anything cold...lol
great thread...i'd like to see some of the ideas that come here
but also another thing i do is make up a normal jug of ice tea and will put in one package of lemon koolade with my splenda
I'm drinking Crystal Lite trying to give up pop way in advance of the surgery and I have to say I like the sounds of mixing raspberry ice and pink lemonade...sounds great to me.
I completely forgot that I bought an ice tea maker before I had surgery for just this occaision.
I had never seen a contraption like this before for ice tea and thought it might come in handy.
I have tried Fuze (kinda expensive for everyday)
I will have to try the slurpee but one question, do you just add a lot of ice to get them like a slurpee or is there a techniqe?
On a semi related topic of trying new stuff.
I tried Eggfaces 2 minute cake (banana) today and it was amazing.
Literally took 2 minutes and came out perrrrfect : )
The iced ginger ice tea is right up my alley.
How do I make that?
1 large cucumber
3 cups iced water
peel cucumber slice in half scoop out the seeds cut it up into chunks place cucumber and water in blender and blend away. also says u can add a hand full of mint leaves for added freshness.
garnish with a mint leaf and cucumber round.
sounds very relaxing and spa-ish to me!
I like the idea of adding fruit
I have gone all fruits and vegetable crazy lately.
So I pulled out my ice tea maker and I realized that in my cupboard I have apple mango tea!!!!
I am now sipping on an apple mango ice tea.
I am sure there are different types of teas I could try.
I will also be sure to try the cucumber idea as well as l do not like anything oversweet anyway.
I checked Eggface's site but I don't see anything there.
I wonder when is she coming home anyway?
I don't like any of the artificial sweetiners... nope, nada, none. Which has become quite the challenge for me! I'm constantly diluting things in hopes that I will them.
But all I have been doing is putting limes and lemons together in water or adding a few slices of cucumber to my water which I think I like best...
But when I'm feeling better I will take my creative pastry chef (former life) skills and apply them to creating the perfect tea's and when I do, I promise you'll be the first to get 'em. I'll post em but email them to you as well
An Ice Tea maker... hmmm I'm going to check that out!
Have a great evening,
Colleen
