Hi all- My hubby and I took my Dad (88 yrs old) to the Amish Country then to CT (where we used to live) for 2 weeks. It's nice to go away but even better to come home. There was a heat wave in CT and it was pretty miserable for the first week- not everyone has A/C up there. I did well eating even though we ate out a lot- stuck to chicken, meatballs w/ peppers and onions (at pizza joints) and made sure to have my protein drinks if I felt I was lacking. I did have veal parmegian (sp?) that was wonderful. I didn't have access to a scale and was happy to see that I lost 2 lbs while I was gone. Almost in the 160's. In the past I would have gained 5-7 lbs while away. Really pushed the H2O due to the heat. Congrats to all who had surgery in the past 2 weeks, I can't message everyone. Glad to be back to a familiar routine!! K
