Stay.busy.!!! I totally relate to your crying jags-- its scary!!! So, get your mind off it. Rearrange your closets, clean out the fridge, mop the floors. Whatever! You'll do great (and its ok to be scared). :) Focus on the "after" not the "before". Get ready for the rest of your life!

That is natural and if you weren't a little worried I would be worried about ya! Try to keep busy is what I did. Clean your house and get things ready for post op. I kept busy the whole day before and it did help. You will do fine!

I was an emotional wreck the day before. I was so jittery on the way to the hospital, I'm sure I talked my mom's ear off. I started crying and praying and singing hymns as they prepped my arm for the anesthesia. The next thing I know I am waking up in recovery. I think I may still have been singing to myself. lol

Since you're not working, I agree with the suggestion to make sure the house is all clean and ready so that if you don't feel up to it for a week or so, no big deal. Also, make sure you're stocked up for what you'll need afterwards.

Otherwise, go outside and enjoy the beautiful day!

Before every surgery I ever had... I cleaned my house like mad! Drives my hubby nuts! But I just knew I didn't want to come home from the hosp with a dirty spot ANYWHERE insuring I would be able to rest!

Which is all kind a funny, because I am NOT a neat nick my no means! I think it is just how I deal with the pre surgery jitters :)

What you're feeling today is completely normal. You are having major surgery! Anyone would be nervous and apprehensive!
The day before mine I wasn't even sure I was still going to go through with it!!! I thought I might back out.
I actually felt like I was losing a Best Friend!! Food! and the comfort I Thought it gave me!! And I was totally afraid of Failure!! Since I've failed ALL the other attempts at weight lose!!!
EMOTIONS ARE TRICKY THINGS! Keep YOUR goal in mind and don't look back.
I went through with my surgery and have had some bad days, but mostly they are good days. I look back and think of all the feelings I was dealing with and can't even believe that THIS (WLS) was what I was worried about.!
SOOOOO WORTH IT!!! TO BE ABLE TO LIVE LIFE!!! NOT TO BE JUST GOING THROUGH THE MOTION!!!

You, my friend, WILL BE FINE!!! God wouldn't have it any other way!

Thank you all - everything is ready for me - house clean everything done i just feel like i'm in some kind of slow motion movie - then i get the call that I'm not due to arrive at the hospital until 3:30 tomorrow - which means i probably won't have surgery until 4:00 - 4:30 and cut off time for even water is midnight tonight, OMG talk about being tested. My husband is preparing dinner for him and my son and the smell has me wanting to climb the walls. I am so full of liquids till I am nauseous. I need to just go to bed. I'll be coo coo for coco coco puffs by the time i leave for the hospital tomorrow. lol, all i can do is keep finding humor in it for my own sanity.

Sleep in tomorrow since it's going to be a while. Take a nice long bubble bath with a good book. I may be nuts, but i never felt nervous. I had so much trust in my surgeon. I also had the strong belief that after surgery my life could only get better and it has.

Sweetie - you are so prepared. You've done your homework, asked all the right questions and now is the time to place your trust in the man you love the most - our dear Lord and Saviour.

Tami - you wil be in my prayers tomorrow, but I will not worry because I know God hs greater plans for you.

I agree with Diana, try to sleep in, and treat yourself to whatever luxury thing helps to relax you. I know your totally prepared for this, you've done your homework, fought your battles and have a great support system in place. I was strangely calm the morning of my surgery. I was reassuring my husband, mom and sister that I'd be ok instead of them reassuring me. I kept saying lets get this show on the road-I was ready and so are you. I'll be saying an extra prayer (although you won't need it) for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. Update us as soon as you're feeling up to it.

I am sorry I didn't post earlier... I was driving... Went 650 miles today... But you crossed my mind several times.... You are ready for this... You will be great.... Sleep in (as suggested) and pick up a good book.... Call your friends, and rejoice... You have worked hard, and waited patiently for this day.... You will be in my prayers tomorrow, and I can't wait to see your posts as you continue on this journey.... Hugzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

My computer is back on line now!!!! By now you should be in recovery and hopefully getting excellent attention to your every need. Congratulations on your decision and surgery!!! As some wise people have encouraged me - the recovery is temporary - the long term goal is going to be fantastic!!
