I am going to the lake with some old friends in a couple of weeks. I have a swimsuit that I wore several years ago (when I was about 50 lbs. heavier) and it is not great -- but works. I haven't seen these friends in about a year (right before I decided to have surgery) so I'm excited to show the new me off. I have put off looking for a new suit -- because I wasn't sure how I would feel when I tried one on. . . well I tried on several yesterday -- and even fit into a "large" -- yippee! I even thought I looked pretty good (saggy skin and all).

The only thing that stopped me frome buying a suit was cost! I don't know that I want to spend $80 (on sale!) on a suit that hopefully won't fit me next year! :) I don't usually shop at Dillards -- but that was the only place that had a decent selection (have to have decent support for the saggy ladies).

I know it's late in the season, but does anyone know of a place where I can find a reasonably priced suit?

I just bought a suit at Marshalls. It was considered late season and marked down to $15. I know kohls had them also.

Sears..yes, Sears..has TONS of them and they're all 50% off. I was there last week and they had literally racks and racks. EVERY kind you could imagine :)

Thanks for your responses. So far the "tankini" is what I feel most comfortable in and I've had trouble finding those at WalMart or Target. I know it's late in the season and the selection is picked over -- but I'll keep trying -- :).

Check TJ Max or Gordmans. Most swimsuits should be marked down now since it is kinda the end of the season for them retail wise. I've picked up suits for $10 in past. My Mom gave me one she found at TJ Maxx forr $10 for when I loose more weight. She paid $10 for it.

Check your local consignment stores too. They usually have new suits with the tags still on them. At least the couple I have gone to where I live do.

Thank you for your responses. I was at Wal Mart today and was able to find a couple of tankini tops -- was happily surprised with the size I fit in to-- but they were too short. One of them -- teeheehee -- had a bra that Madonna would have worn back in the 80s - no boobs necessary to hold it up! LOL
