OMG, are any of you guys experiencing this, it feels so funny when I swallow anything. I can actually feel the liquid go down my throat into my pouch and if I try to do anything other than sip is feels so uncomfortable and hurts. It's so funny before surgery I didn't even take notice to these things. I also feel empty inside like I know most of my stomach is gone. Is this crazy or do you guys feel me on this.

I can feel the water going down - especially if it's cold water. Never noticed it until after surgery. No I try not to drink cold water, so I don't have that sensation :D

I feel the same. It's so annoying and sometime I forget and have to pay for it with a ton of pain.

I felt the same way after my sleeve. I'd like to say it gets better but sometimes I still get a little too ambitious with my water and the pain ensues. I can definitely drink more than I could initially, but not nearly what I was able to before surgery. I used to be able to drink a 20 oz. water in no time. It just encourages me to drink my full fluids everyday to prevent dehydration.

I do feel water probably more than any other thing. Sometimes it does hurt. But I don't like warm or room temp water. It has to be cold. It still bothers me if its room temp. and I don't like room temp. so I might as well go for the cold.

I still feel everything that I swallow. No pain, unless I over do it. I can feel everything "land" in my pouch. Liquids I can swallow about 4 or 5 "gulps" at a time, then I have to wait about 30 seconds before gulping again. I can usually finish 12 oz. in about 5 or 6 minutes.

I have no difference in feeling internally concerning my "rearrangement". I wasn't even certain after the surgery that my surgeon really DID anything!

i also feel things when i swallow them. What i have read in the past is sometimes changing the temp of your liquid makes a difference. Some have actually gone to war, tea vs reg water it still counts as water.

Hang in there it will get better.

I did feel funny for a while but now at three months out from sleeve surgery I don't notice. I have noticed I am able to take a bigger drink of water now too. My stomach doesn't make as much noise either after eating or at night laying bed, but it still makes noises from time to time.

Wow this site is great! I thought it was just me. I like warm to hot tea but find myself working on my 12 oz protein drink all day.
