So, on Monday I had my wellness assessment with my bariatric team which included the psychological eval, meeting with the nutritionist, the exercise physiologist, and physician's assistant. I got cleared by them all yayyyyy!!!! So now I need to continue my physician supervised diet (which I lost 9 lbs this past month :D ) and I scheduled my pre op support group meeting date and surgical consultation. MY QUESTION IS.... what exactly happens at the surgical consult? Should I bring anything with me??
I read my program book front to back, read "what newbies need to know" here, and a bunch of other stuff. That way, I had my questions written out and my surgeon was able to help me really understand my choices, options and what I was facing. Preparation really helps you be ready for this, and gives you the best chances at success.
