Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
What about health issues is it worth not getting those fixed. We all have been through what you are going through and YES it is well worth it in the long run.
Go for it we are all here to support you and help you along the journey.
YOU WILL BE JUST FINE!!!!!!!!
you can do this! I truly believe that. It is you decision but don't let fear stop you. Do the research and and talk to others here who have had it. I have my surgery on Sept 17th and had second guessed myself about 4 times but I can't continue living in pain everyday in my feet, legs (knees) and back. Plus I want to get rid of my diabetes and high blood pressure and more.
Like I said do the research and talk to people who have had it and then decide and talk to the doc about it.
We are here for you.debby
I think most people 2nd quess themselves the sooner the surgery date comes around. It is a serious surgery so it's not something to just jump into. Like others said, do lots of research, write down a list of questions for your surgeon, your nut and others at your program. Go to the support groups and talk to people who have had the same procedure. That will help you, it did me.
Good luck!
