If you are... let me tell you about my day!
Today we took the city bus and went to the farmers market and Saturday market... as well as went 'window shopping' for new furniture... spent over 3 hours on my feet (we left at 10, got home at 3!) and I still feel great! I came home, went to work cleaning up the veggies we bought, started cooking green chile chicken for dinner and am now headed out back to bring in some boxes I have stored so I can sort thru them!
I could not have even come close to this 2 months ago! I could not make the 5 min walk to the bus stop without my cane! Every day that goes by I am more and more thankful I had this surgery... it is changing the quality of my life :) :)
If you are still wondering if this is the right decision... well, I cannot tell you what is right for you, but I can tell you this has been an AMAZING ride and I am less than two months post op... so its only going to keep getting better!

I am concerned due to my problem walking and standing now. Most of you know, I have severe back issues, and recently my hip has been bad also. Plus, bad knees!
So, my only recourse to help my body, my health and my life, is this!
I am normally, an active person, but since 2008, I have not been due to my pain and diseases.
All of my Dr's suggested I do the GBS. I am praying, that with the weight loss, that the pain will be reduced, and that I can start to live a much more normal life.
This is what I decided to do, to save my life. And I will say, My life is worth saving, and I plan to commit 100% to this , and do the best that I can every day.

Now don't get me wrong.... I am in no way compairing my problems with yours... I'm saying i came back from a bad place where the light at end of tunnel was going out... And if i can do this... You may be able to as well. Your new lease on life will look different than mine... But you will get one too!
I know Angie wonders how her mobility will be after losing with her fibro.... I think she'll have success too, it will just look different than someone who does not have the struggles of fibro :)
But i'll bet my last penny you both expreience success and much increased mobility!
That is the amazing thing about this...
I have hypothyroidism, and have been on Synthroid. Will losing the weight have any positive affect on this?
