Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Stalls are a normal part of our body's healing process, so expect them. Just check in with yourself when then happen to see if you are causing them. If you are on program, don't stress over them. They will pass.
Take your body measurements weekly so that when the scale is stuck, you will still see progress as the inches melt away. A true stall is when both scale and tape measure show no change for more than two weeks. When that happens, change up your exercise and/or your menus to get things moving again.
Take care.
