My son and I got to ride with my husband for a quick trip to Salt Lake and back home again. All I could think of during the ride was how much easier it was going to be to get in and out of that truck when I finally lose some weight. Then I realized that will be a great NSV after I have the surgery to be able to climb into the truck without making a half dozen attempts before I actually make it. I so want to be able to spend a summer on the road with him and our little guy it's not funny. I actually miss riding on the truck and look forward to being able to do it again.
On another note my little duck is going to a different home than what I had planned for it. My little sister just fell in love with the little guy and has a few ducks of her own at her place with a pond for them. She even let my son name the duck which for some reason he chose the name Buck for it. So Buck the duck is now at my sisters house and my son gets to play with him whenever he goes over there. This works because I'm in the city and she is in the country and I know that little fella will be well taken care of. Of course my sister is a bleeding heart when it comes to critters just like I am.

Hang in there you will get that NSV before you know it. Things in this process drag sometimes but others move like lightening. You have come so far. Take time though to feel your sadness because it is an important part of being human. Then wash it off and say well soon this will be just history. :)
