Since losing a whole person 100lbs, I noticed now that every month a few days before my period my back starts to hurt me. Now ladies I am well endowed..............................I mean real talk, enough to share the wealth with a few people. In fact the first thing I am planning to get next year when I reach my 2nd year surgiversary is a breast reduction.
When I was heavier I never had back pains and was just wondering have any of you gone thru or are going thru this. My fear is that now since my breast don't go with my body I might start suffering from back problems on the norm and I don't want that. Thanks for listening.

I had a reduction after losing approximately 90 pounds. The weight of my breasts was causing neck and shoulder pain: I felt good first thing in the morning but twenty minutes later when I stepped out of the shower I had that pinching in my neck already...
I went to physical therapy but it didn't help. I had finally had it, so I went to my family doctor for a little chat. One look at the red grooves on my shoulders and he sent me to a plastic surgeon.
Because of the back, neck and shoulder pain my reduction was covered by insurance. *but* because they paid for it the insurance company got to dictate how much the surgeon took off (which meant if I wanted to be a DD I was out of luck ...)
I went from a 40HH to a 42D and couldn't be happier. You just don't realize how much chronic pain brings you down.
For reference, before surgery my nipples sat about 1-1/2 inches below my elbows. Now they're up in the penthouse where they belong :)
FYI, if you are still losing the insurance company may make you wait until your weight has been stable for several months.
You also mentioned that your back hurts when it's time for your menstrual cycle. When we carry extra weight it can affect our female reproductive parts and if you still have all your parts, you may not have been ovulating before and with the weight loss you may be ovulating again and that may be causing some back pain. You should talk to your GYN if it continues to be a problem.
