Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I'm finding that 6 weeks out of work is not at all uncommon. If you have complications, like infection, sutures opening, fluid build up etc, you can add additional time off. Also, insurance will not cover the cost of such complications.
I hear pain meds are in order. Some folks seem to be ready to walk outside at about 4 or 5days after surgery.
Lots of surgeons do this work in a surgical suite at their office.
That's about all I can help you with. I'm sure JJ will show up here soon with more specific info for you!
Blessings,
Spotz
But as SPOTZ says there are a lot that wont. Documentation of rashes, etc as they appear and seeing the doctors for these will help to win the battle if you do not have a written out policy as mine.
Where the rash was how long you had it, what cleared it did you see a doctor all those things are important.
Have an amazing day and it never hurts to think ahead in my opinion.
Yes, the plastic surgeries were painful, but personally, I thought mine were worth it!! The recovery for each surgery was different. I was off for 4 weeks with the TT and lift (I did some work at home but had drains in for 3 weeks). The belt lipectomy was another 3 weeks. The leg lift was 3 weeks and the arms were 2.
Happy Monday!!
