Chew everything to a liquid. Eat slowly and check your spit after every bite to see if it is starting to get thick. If you sense it is getting thick, stop eating!!
I am 3 years out and I still have a protein shake every day. It helps to blend it with ice and drink it with a straw.
Are you throwing up? If you are have they checked for a stricture?
Is it the heavy brick feeling in the center of your chest accompanied by a lot of saliva (the foamies)? ...or is it an almost acidic feeling pain just to the left? If so, it may actually be your gall bladder.

Everyone else: I've been on soft foods, but occasionally I'll have like baked/grilled chicken wings or I tried a quesadilla (MISTAKE), but for the most part I've stuck to my diet so idk. I'll def eat slower though. I've been eating soup and crackers for the last couple of days so my stomach hasn't been hurting as much. Thanks for the tips. I'm glad I'm not alone, but it still sucks :/
I take Omeprazole before my meals per the Doc
Kind of like Pepcid
No more pain
Ask your Dr about it
