We are going through lot of changes! My hair is long, about to my bra line in back. I don't know what my face, neck etc is going to look like when I hit goal so I'm going to wait. My husband always said.....Short hair draws attention to the face and depending on where it stops ( like jaw), you will notice the weight there first. NOW he maybe full of _____but Its stuc in my head. I would love a youthfull look when this is all over as well!! Highlights and something sassy!!!!

Maybe cut it in stages? Fool around with bangs, color, layering. Men are obsessed with going bald and women are obsessed with every aspect of of our hair b/c it's so linked to our idea of femininity.

I would get it trimmed but not do anything drastic till you lose the weight you want to lose. I know it grows back. but keep in mind that you might loose hair as well during this process.

U can always put it up in a bun or something that way. I put mine in a bun almost every day.

I am like BBonnie, I have been growing mine out and I am going to wait. I want hair for the new me to complement what I am going to look like, so having it long will give me more options when the time comes. If you are not sure about cutting, why not play with color? That could be fun, and you can go with something subtle like highlights, or go BIG with a total color change! And you can try new styles such as twisting it up, going extra curly with hot rollers if you have had it straight, and so on. Have fun!

My hair presently is down to my shoulders and next Wednesday, I am cutting it very short. The top will be longer (just a bit) so I could just tossell it and the back and around the ears will be short. I am also going to color it before my surgery. I like cutting my hair short from time to time and the girl who does it is good at doing it.
I want it cut for a change but also to hopefully keep too much hair from falling out from the diet. I will also take Biotin to help prevent too much hair from going bye-bye. LOL
If you want a change..maybe it is time for a new look. You'd look cute with a "bob". Best of luck to you with what ever you choose. debby

my first thought was yell NONO don't cut it...........second is do it slow few inches at a time .......however if you truely are sick of it find something you really like and go for it Benifiits are with shorter hair it takes some weight off and helps with the hair loss thingy (my hair person says i didnt test the theory) Shorter hair tends to make you look younger, I assume because it frames the face bringing out the best in your featurs? just my thought. the bigest thing is you can always grow it back. you will always be beautiful no mater what you do.

LoL I went allll the way :-) I had grown my hair for a few years but I was always putting it up in a pony tail. After I lost weight in my face I felt it was time :-) I needed a change. I had been talking about it for awhile. I just went for it... But I went to beauty school so I've never had a fear of going for it with my hair. Like you said. It can always grow back :-)

My hair was to my butt. At 4 or 5 months out, it started falling out. I have VERY thick hair so I was not worried. I went to my salon and got a new do. When I got home my husband was shocked. It is short. I am two years out and it is still cute. It is easier to clean up short hair falling out all over the place then the long stuff.
If you want long hair, you know it will grow out. I love the shock on peoples face. First I lost a bunch of wt, then I got my hair cut. Some of my clients that have not seen me for awhile, become very concerned when they see me. I reassure them I am VERY HEALTHY!
